AKDetector — Device Info

Package com.ak.detector  ·  Effective 17 July 2026  ·  Version 1.0

In short

AKDetector does not collect your data. Everything the app reads about your device is displayed on your screen and never leaves the device. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no upload.

The app does show ads through Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects data of its own — that is the only data collection connected to this app, and it is described in full below.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Android app AKDetector — Device Info (com.ak.detector), distributed on Google Play. It does not cover any other app or website.

The app is published by an independent developer, contactable at [email protected].

2. What the app does

AKDetector is a read-only diagnostic tool. It queries publicly available Android APIs and system files to report what your device says about itself — build properties, hardware capabilities, network state, kernel details and similar — and cross-checks those readings across several of the app's own processes to spot inconsistencies.

The app only reads. It does not modify your device, does not require root, and does not alter any system state.

3. Data the app collects: none

AKDetector reads a large amount of information about your device. None of it is collected. Specifically:

The only setting the app saves on your device is your scan-mode preference (full or lite), kept in local app storage. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Note on identifiers. Some checks read device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID (GAID) or App Set ID and display them to you. Displaying a value on your own screen is not collection — those values are not sent anywhere by AKDetector.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays a banner ad, served by Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects data automatically, independently of the developer. According to Google's published disclosure, it collects:

DataDescriptionPurpose
IP address May be used to estimate the general location of the device Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention
Product interactions App launches, taps, video views Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention
Diagnostics App and SDK performance — launch time, hang rate, energy usage Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention
Device & account identifiers Advertising ID, App Set ID, and identifiers tied to signed-in accounts where applicable Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention

This data is collected by and shared with Google as a third party. Its handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

5. Your consent choices

Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Before any ad is requested, the app shows a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform, letting you accept or refuse the use of your data for personalised advertising. The ads SDK is not initialised until you have made that choice. Refusing does not restrict any feature of the app.

To change or withdraw your choice at any time, tap the Privacy button in the app's toolbar to reopen the form.

All users — Advertising ID

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device and Android version). Deleting it stops personalised advertising across apps.

6. Permissions

Permissions are requested only to read the corresponding diagnostic values, and every check fails soft — denying a permission simply marks those rows as unavailable and never blocks the app.

The app deliberately does not request location, contacts, storage, camera or microphone permissions.

7. Children

AKDetector is a technical diagnostic tool intended for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect any data from children.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because the developer collects and stores no personal data, there is nothing held to retrieve or delete. Uninstalling the app removes the local scan-mode preference. Data collected by Google through AdMob is retained under Google's own policies, linked above.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be published on this page before they take effect.
